The interest in renewable energy is growing in Turkey
The economy in Turkey is booming and some even refer to the country as “The China of Europe.” However, Turkey has a weak spot which directly confronts its growing industrialization; Turkey is a country which must import all of its fossil fuel – and at continuously increasing prices. As a result, the interest in renewable energy is growing in Turkey, all the more since 2010 when the country joined the Kyoto Protocol and thus has to reduce CO2 emissions until 2020.
In Western Europe the solar market has grown in recent years
Alexander Storek, Sales Manager Emerging Markets of the Export Department at Wagner & Co commented, “The Solar Market in Western European countries has developed at a considerable pace over the last few years and we have achieved remarkable levels of growth and recognition in our core markets of Germany, Italy and France. We are now focusing on expansion across new and emerging markets so our presence at SOLAREX in Turkey will be complemented with an exhibition presence at local shows in other emerging markets such as the UK, Slovenia, United Arab Emirates, Cyprus and others.”
Halil Ergünal from Lemsolar Turkey had the following to say, “We are very excited about the possibility to partner with Wagner & Co. With their unbeatable experience and technological/technical competence, this partnership will give us the right support to gain a lead in the Turkish market.”
